| Do NOT camp at Dinarth Hall We arrived on Tuesday to find our van like this We couldn't get our car down to the van and ours is a big 4x4 because the water was so deep in places so we had to take off socks and roll our trousers up and they even got wet above our knees. By the time we had managed to get the awning off it had been raining | |

| Within that hour the water had risen, this is from inside the van The river burst it's banks and the only 'safe' but wet pitches were 1-8 54,55 and 56. Steve had to come and tow our van out for us and water had risen enough to get into the vents! our awning is in the barn drying off but covered in worms, slugs and horse dung that was floating. | |

| Pictures taken this morning two days after the flood As you know we have a seasonal pitch here and this is the 3rd time we've been flooded the ground is so wet it just won't take the rain ........ this is the worst though Our van was next the the gate and wall - left of the line of vans so you can see how much it's already drained and just how high that water was. I wish we had the time to take more pictures while it was all flooded but by the time we had finished rescuing everything it was pitch black and we we're very cold and wet, the water was even coming up from the drains underneath the water taps. | |

| We just went down to find our chairs that were under the water ....... this is our pitch now as the water has subsided We also found our small groundsheet half floating and picked up some of our groundsheet pegs too. Admin types please feel free to move all of my posts regarding Dinarth Hall onto another thread if appropriate. | |

| This is good compared to two days ago We are now on 55 and okay, Old Mrs Parry hasn't ever seen it this bad either and she's lived here most of her life. They normally come and drain it but there was nowhere to drain it to this time as everywhere was flooding. The beers were lovely and cold though as the full box was in the awning and floating in the cold water | |
